It’s still taking me a lot longer than I expected to actually draw out the strips. The end of last year just came by far to quickly. Right now I’m busy with a winter class and barely have time to breathe. So I’m pushing the date back so I can concentrate on my school work. Something that I’m not sorry to say is first and foremost in my life. That is just how it has to be for now.
I’ve thought about it and the only way I can make it so this site will have a normal update schedule next year is if I work through December.
I am currently writing up scripts that will last me till summer. Then I’ll be drawing as many as I can ahead of time. Creating a large buffer if the only way I’ll be able to manage my school work and the comic. So I’d rather go one month without updates than have spotty updates all of the time.
If anyone is interested in doing a guest strip that would be wonderful! Otherwise I will try and post a little something up each week. Perhaps something like the turkey comic or maybe just some filler art.
I also want to just touch on the fact that Lauren has left the comic. She is going off to do her own thing. Her talent and take on Sweet Fat Life will surely be missed. I just want to wish her the best of luck and thank her for drawing Sweet Fat Life while she did.

Yes I am afraid the comic will be going on a short hiatus while I focus on my upcoming finals. However I have to admit the reasons are more complicated than just schoolwork.
Basically some things are going to be changing for Sweet Fat Life. Changes that I can only hope will help the comic grow. I decided that a hiatus would be an easy way for me to work behind the scenes without having to rush drawing out strips. In fact I’m hoping to create myself a nice little buffer so I can adjust to drawing the comic without feeling pressured.
Even though the regular updates will not be happening I will be updating this blog. So watch this area to know what I’m up to.
